When I started Female Vitality, I had planned to provide bioidentical hormone replacement and some weight loss assistance.  I have found that I help the most people by focusing on weight loss.  I have also found that most of my clients don’t need hormone replacement at all!

In my experience, cortisol and insulin are the main factors in inhibiting weight loss.  If you have not already, please read my blog posts about sustainable weight loss (parts 1 and 2). 

Abnormal cortisol levels effects estradiol, progesterone, DHEA and testosterone. 

For 90% of my clients, I have been able to provide lifestyle modification and supplements to correct the cortisol.  For the other 10% I have also given DHEA which is the precursor to estradiol and testosterone.  This allows the body to create its own hormone!

The conclusion of my experiences leads me to my BIG REVAMP!

FV is no longer focused on hormone REPLACEMENT. 

FV is now focused on correcting hormone BALANCE and helping clients with weight loss. 

I want to help women (and men) make their own hormones.  I know… The company is called Female Vitality, but we take husbands and boyfriends too!

Another thing I need to explain is how I add states to the areas I can provide service.

First, I must be licensed in the state in which the client resides.  Or at least, the state where the client is present during our visit.

The second part of adding states had to do with testosterone.  When I planned to provide hormone replacement therapy, I knew a lot of women would want topical testosterone.  Testosterone is a controlled medication.  To prescribe testosterone, I must have a DEA license.  To obtain a DEA, I must have a physical address. 

It has become quite expensive to have a sublease in each state.

But now, I am no longer focusing on hormone replacement.  This means I no longer need to offer testosterone.  And I can expand to more states much quicker!!!

After I decided to make this change, I started the process of obtaining my Minnesota, Wyoming, Oregon and Kansas state licenses.  I also plan to become licensed in Nebraska and Nevada.

I am willing to continue expanding if anyone is waiting for me to come to their state!  Let me know!
